Description

Since 1954, the Idaho State University Graduate School has been dedicated to advancing scholarly and creative endeavors through cutting-edge research, innovative artistic pursuits, and high-quality academic instruction.

With more than 120 programs, the Graduate School seeks to use these attributes to improve services to Idahoans, Americans, and people around the globe. It also aims to create citizens who will reflect critically on the past, learn from the present, and exercise leadership to improve the future in a diverse, international society.

Idaho State graduate students are committed to improving the future and sharing their research with the community. Projects range from the revival and integration of the Shoshone language into K–12 education to creating theranostic treatments for synovial sarcoma cancer.

The 7th Annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition was held this year at the Graduate School, drawing a record number of entries and contestants. On March 13, 2024, we will host our 10th annual Graduate Research Symposium. Attendees of all degree levels and disciplines are welcome to attend and learn from one another. We welcome those outside of ISU to attend to engage with our students and their work.

Funding for our graduate student's summer session provides additional opportunities, from workshops to completing a thesis or dissertation to receiving funds for their investigation. Your contributions help graduate students accomplish their goals more quickly.
