Description

The ISU CEWT Construction Combine is just around the corner, taking place on April 2nd and 3rd, 2025. This remarkable event provides essential entry-level construction training to high school students and job seekers throughout Southeast Idaho, offering a direct pathway into the construction industry.

Hosting an event of this magnitude, especially one that provides free participation to individuals from at-risk or challenging backgrounds, involves significant costs. To ensure accessibility, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses like yours.

Since its launch, the Pocatello Construction Combine has trained over 500 participants, many of whom have described the experience as life-changing. For some, it has been a fresh start with vital skills to begin a career. For others, it has offered essential life skills that might otherwise have been out of reach.

Your sponsorship can create a lasting impact. By supporting the Construction Combine, you contribute to building a skilled workforce that strengthens our community and local industry. We invite you to partner with us this year and invest in the future of Southeast Idaho.

Donations are applied to...

Donations given to our Construction Combine event help purchase materials needed to promote and maintain the event. Our efforts reach across Southeast Idaho to allow high school students and those reentering the workforce to investigate construction-related professions. On several occasions, participants have been offered jobs during the event.

CEWT Apprenticeship Programs offer the classroom-related training for HVAC, Electrician, and Plumbing (""Earn as You Learn"" programs) licensing requirements, but many of the skills participants are exposed to during the Construction Combine do not require any formal education. By combining ""Earn as You Learn"" programs with ready-to-work skills, the Construction Combine showcases livable wage jobs to participants who may not want a formal education and are looking to join the workforce.
