As the only Honors Bachelor Degree-granting institution in Idaho, the University Honors Program at Idaho State University supports undergraduate students who aspire to a more engaging and enriching collegiate experience.
The University Honors Program is a research and service focused program that provides a transformative environment promoting intellectual curiosity, academic attainment, and the development of social consciousness. Students in the Honors program pursue disciplinary scholarship, research involvement, and artistic interests. Many students take part in experiential learning that goes beyond the classroom by choosing to conduct individual research projects where they are mentored by professors in their disciplines. Funding Opportunity Scholarships that go directly to students. Opportunity Scholarships are sponsorship requests made by current Honors Students for specific academic costs that are not covered by tuition. Requests include, but extend beyond, course textbooks, materials, supplies, and fees; test fees (e.g., GRE, MCAT, Praxis); graduate school application fees; musical instrument maintenance; commuting costs; or research materials.
